As part of their dedicated research programme, launched in 2017, to investigate the ways in which internal displacement affects the economy, IDMC undertook a review of the main impacts of the phenomenon on IDPs and affected communities, local and national governments and donors. The research looked at nearly 1,000 publications, including numerous resources from JIPS, and coveres seven dimensions: health, livelihoods, education, housing and infrastructure, security, the environment and social life.
