Humanitarian and development programs, policies, and processes need to be “context-specific” to reach their goals – but what does that actually mean? And which tools are best suited to help us make our action ‘context-specific’?
ALNAP sets out to answer these questions in this report. It is the result of a two-year research and consultation process with a wide array of practitioners and organisations. JIPS contributed to the initial learning event in 2017 to share our knowledge on tools, and engaged throughout the process by contributing our expertise working on profiling urban displacement situations. The publication’s Annex A provides a more detailed description of the 25 tools reviewed.
